When turning or
repositioning a patient on TandemHeart System support, do
you have any suggestions for ways to avoid flexion of the
hip which could possibly displace or kink the transseptal
cannula?
A standard immobolizer placed
over the knee has been very effective in preventing flexion
of the hip and knee. It also helps to remove some of the
patient’s anxiety that can occur with having to remember not
to bend the affected leg.
