Clinical Education Manager – Pittsburgh, PA
Job Summary: Leads nationwide staff of
clinical education specialists. Provides clinical input to
Engineering and Quality Assurance staff regarding product
development and regulatory compliance. Provides technical and
clinical support as needed to customers through case support,
hands-on training, and presentations. Position is based in
Pittsburgh, PA. Travel up to 50% is required |

Primary Responsibilities:
- Leads staff of nine
clinical education specialists/territory managers including
scheduling, functional planning, training development and
delivery, and budgeting.
- Responsible for the development,
management, and implementation of a structured clinical
education program for customers and staff.
- Responsible for
establishing clinical programs that drive greater adoption and
utilization of the TandemHeart technology.
- Provides medical
device and patient management support and instructions to
clinical sites through hands-on training programs, clinical
lectures, and on-site clinical case support within a hospital
environment.
- Assists in the development of clinical
science, sales, and marketing literature and training
programs.
- Works with engineering and marketing to expand
the product portfolio.
- Participates in trade show exhibits,
lectures, and demonstrations to attract new customers.
- Provides feedback from customers and clinical sites to quality
assurance and regulatory departments.
- Assists with clinical
budget planning; oversees staff activities and evaluates
performance.
- Prepares activity reports and action plans as
needed.

Position Requirements:
- Comprehensive
understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology and
hemodynamics; good knowledge of cardiac support systems
- Strong knowledge of cardiac cath lab, surgery, CVICU critical
care skills, and hospital operations
- Experience leading
clinical field personnel
- Knowledge and experience of
product design, regulatory and quality assurance activities
from a clinical perspective
- Ability to work well with
sales management to design field strategies and prioritize
field resources
- Ability to seamlessly interact with
hospital staff at all levels of authority and responsibility
- Strong ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and assess
appropriate courses of action in high stress situations
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Experience
in case support and technical/clinical assistance to
cardiologists/cardiac surgeons
- Minimum of five years work
experience in a hospital environment (Cardiac Cath Lab,
Perfusion, Cardiovascular ICU, etc).
- Medical device
industry experience is desired.
- Supervisory experience,
strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s degree
required; advanced degree preferred.

Clinical Territory Manager
Positions are currently
available in the following territories: 1.
Philadelphia/Eastern PA/ Baltimore and 2. Midwestern States
Job Summary: Provides technical and clinical support 24/7
to customers through case support, hands-on training, and
presentations, working primarily in a hospital environment
(Cath Lab, CVICU, OR, CTICU). Position will be based
within primary territory. Travel up to 80% is required.
Must be able to travel and support clinical sites nationwide
on short notice. |

- Provides

- Rotates through an on-call scheduled providing 24/7 clinical
and technical phone support.
- Assists Regional Sales Manager
in targeting and recruiting potential new users.
- Builds upon
existing contact database for all new customers and prospects.
- Assists in the development of clinical, sales, and marketing
literature and training programs.
- Participates in trade
show exhibits, lectures, and demonstrations to attract new
customers.
- Provides feedback from customers and clinical
sites to engineering and quality departments.
- Assists in
developing sales plan.
- Performs routine sales calls to
customer sites as needed.
- Prepares activity reports and
action plans as directed.

- Medical device
industry experience is desired.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
advanced degree (CCP or RN) preferred.
